![]() What's a fanlisting?A fanlisting is a place where people with a common interest (in this case a singer) can fill in their details (name, e-mailaddress) and get listed as a fan. This is nothing too serious. It is just meant as a bit of fun. Who's Siobhan Donaghy?Siobhan Donaghy is a 23 year old singer from London (born 14 June 1984). She was discovered by her first manager when she was 12 and joined UK girlband the Sugababes when she was 13 and was signed to London Records. The Sugababes released an album called One Touch in 2000. But Siobhan wasn't happy in the band and left the Sugababes in 2001. Siobhan suffered from depression for awhile, but didn't give up on making music. She worked with Cameron and Marlon McVey and in 2003 she released the singles Overrated and Twist Of Fate with the album Revolution In Me to follow. The album was very well received by the critics, but wasn't a commercial success. This was mainly due to the fact that it was badly promoted by the record company. London Records was going through some changes at the time and a lot of artists were the victim of that. Siobhan left the record company, but still wanted to continue making music. After a long holiday in 2004 she was contacted by producer James Sanger (who has worked with U2 and Keane amongst others) through her management. James had noticed her and wanted to work with her. Siobhan was very interested and went to the North of France to work on the record with Sanger. As good as isolated from the outside world they created the album Ghosts, a beautiful pop record. Siobhan didn't have a record company yet and sent some songs to Parlophone, her ideal record company. They loved her sound and signed her. First single Don't Give It Up was released on 16 April 2007 and has a stunning video directed by Sophie Muller. Second single So You Say was released on 18 June 2007 with a fantastic video directed by Jamie Thraves. The album was released on 25 June and the artwork was done by visual artist Floria Sigismondi. In August 2007 it was announced she would be making her West End debut playing the role of Mimi in a new production of the hit-musical Rent. The new adaptation called Rent Remixed opened at the Duke of York's Theatre on 16 October 2007 (with previews from 2 October) and ran until 2 February 2008. Siobhan left the company a few weeks before the musical closed though to start working on her third album. To be continued... Visit Siobhan's official website for more info! What's a Donawhore?A Donawhore is basically a true Siobhan fan. A whore for the Donaghy. No need to be offended. Being called a Donawhore is something to be proud of. Even Siobhan herself loves it. The word Donawhores was first used in November 2006 by Tom who runs the official Siobhan website. Members on the official Siobhan forums who have more than 200 posts are ranked as Donawhores. Under 200 posts you are ranked as a Premature Donawhore. There was also a forum called The Donawhores Forums being used at the end of 2006, which was a temporary replacement for the official forums which were being moved at the time. In the future you may see a proper Donawhore website popping up with merchandising if Tom can find the time. Why and how was this fanlisting made?I've been a fan of Siobhan since 2004 and wanted to make a fanlisting for this lovely singer because she deserves all the recognition and promotion she can get.
